We keep it deliberately factual. The payment options available for your order are always the ones shown on the checkout page before you confirm, and this page will name each provider once it is connected and tested.
\n
\n
Payments in short
\n
\n
Options: shown at checkout before you pay; only methods that are switched on and working are offered.
\n
Currency: US dollars (USD) for every order, including orders to Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
\n
Security: payment details are entered with the payment provider over an encrypted connection; we never store full card numbers.
\n
Charge timing: when you place the order.
\n
Refunds: back to the original payment method within 7 calendar days of approval.
\n
\n
\n
1. Which payment methods are available
\n
The payment options for your order appear in the payment section of the checkout page, after you enter your address and before you confirm the order. We only show a method once it has been connected to a real payment provider and a test transaction has confirmed that it works, so whatever you see at checkout is what we accept on that day.
\n
We do not list card brands, wallets or provider logos on this page or in the site footer until the corresponding provider is live. That is intentional: we would rather show you nothing than a logo for a method that is not actually available. When a provider is connected, this section will list it by name, for example the card brands it accepts or the wallet it supports, together with the date it was added.
\n
We do not accept payment by email, by phone, by text message, in cash, by cheque, by gift card from another retailer, or by direct bank transfer to a personal account. If anyone asks you to pay for a Proud Vet Tee order in one of those ways, it is not us; please forward the message to support@proudvettee.com.
\n
2. Currency and international cards
\n
All prices on proudvettee.com are in US dollars, and every order is charged in US dollars. If your card or account is in Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars, or any other currency, your bank or provider converts the amount at its own exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. That rate and fee are set by your bank, not by us, which is why the figure on your statement can differ slightly from the USD total at checkout. The same applies in reverse to refunds: we refund the USD amount, and your bank converts it back at the rate of the day.
\n
3. What you pay
\n
\n
What makes up your order total
\n
\n
\n
Part of the total
\n
How it is calculated
\n
When you see it
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Items
\n
Price of each item for the style and size chosen
\n
Product page and cart
\n
\n
\n
Shipping
\n
$0 to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
\n
Checkout, before payment
\n
\n
\n
Discount
\n
Only if you enter a valid code
\n
Cart and checkout
\n
\n
\n
Sales tax
\n
Where applicable, based on the delivery address
\n
Checkout, before payment
\n
\n
\n
Import duties and local taxes (non-US addresses)
\n
Set by the destination country, not by us
\n
Charged by the carrier or customs on delivery, if any apply
\n
\n
\n
\n
4. When you are charged
\n
Your payment is taken when you place your order. Because every item is printed to order, we need confirmed payment before production starts. If you cancel within 12 hours and before printing begins, or if we cancel all or part of the order, we refund the relevant amount in full, and it reaches your original payment method within 7 calendar days. Details are on Cancel or Change an Order.
\n
Some providers place a temporary authorization on your account for the order total, then capture it. If you see a pending amount and a final charge for the same order, the pending one disappears on its own, usually within a few days depending on your bank.
\n
5. How your payment is protected
\n
The entire site uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Card details and wallet logins are entered with the payment provider, either in a secure field supplied by the provider or on the provider’s own page, and are sent directly to that provider. They never pass through or remain on our servers. Card payments are handled by providers that follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
\n
Your bank may ask you to confirm a payment with a code, an app notification or a fingerprint, for example through 3-D Secure. That step comes from your card issuer and helps prevent someone else using your card. If you are not able to complete it, the payment will not go through and no order will be created.
\n
6. If a payment is declined
\n
A payment can be declined when the billing address does not match the card, the card has expired, the available balance is too low, the card does not allow international or online payments, or your bank flags the transaction as unusual. Gift buyers ordering for a family member in another state or country sometimes trigger these checks because the shipping address differs from the billing address. What to do:
\n
\n
Check the card number, expiry date, security code and billing address, and try again.
\n
If it still fails, try another available payment method, or contact your bank to approve the payment.
\n
If you are not sure whether an order went through, look for an order confirmation email before trying again. No confirmation email means no order was created and no charge was captured.
\n
\n
7. Duplicate or unexpected charges
\n
If you see the same order charged twice, or a charge you do not recognise from proudvettee.com, email us with the date, the amount and, if you have them, the transaction references. We check our records the same business day we read your message and refund any duplicate charge in full; the refund reaches you within 7 calendar days. If the charge did not come from us, we will tell you so you can contact your bank.
\n
8. Order verification
\n
To protect customers from fraud, we may occasionally ask you to confirm details of an order before we print it, for example when a large order is shipped to an address that differs from the billing address. We ask by email and never ask for your full card number. If we cannot verify the payment, we cancel the order and refund it in full.
\n
9. Discount codes and store credit
\n
If we offer a public discount code, you enter it in the cart or at checkout, and the reduced total appears before you pay. Store credit issued instead of a refund is linked to your email address and can be applied at checkout, or by our support team on request. Codes and credit cannot be exchanged for cash. See the Terms of Service for promotion conditions.
\n
10. Refunds to your payment method
\n
Approved refunds go back to the method used for the order and reach it within 7 calendar days of approval. If the card you used has since been cancelled or replaced, the refund normally follows to the replacement card or is credited to your account by your bank; if it bounces back to us, we contact you to arrange another way. Full rules are in our Refund Policy.
\n
11. Paying for an order for someone else
\n
You can pay for an order shipped to a family member or friend. The billing details must be yours, the shipping details theirs. Order and tracking emails go to the buyer’s email address. If the recipient later returns the item, the refund goes to the buyer’s payment method unless the buyer asks for store credit to be issued to the recipient.
\n
12. Keeping your details safe
\n
We will never ask for your card number, security code, online banking password or one-time passcode by email, chat, phone or social media. Do not include payment details in a support message or a ticket. If you receive a message claiming to be from Proud Vet Tee that asks for them, do not reply; forward it to support@proudvettee.com so we can warn other customers.
\n
12a. Quick answers about paying
\n
Can I pay in Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars?
\n
Prices and charges are in US dollars only. Your bank converts the amount into your own currency, which is why your statement may show a slightly different figure.
\n
Is my order confirmed if the payment page closed unexpectedly?
\n
Only if you received an order confirmation email. If no email arrived within an hour and nothing appears in your account, the order was not created; you can try again safely.
\n
Can I split one order across two cards?
\n
Not at the moment. Each order is paid with one method. If you want to share the cost of a family order, the simplest way is to place two smaller orders.
\n
Do you offer payment in instalments?
\n
Only if an instalment option is shown at checkout. If it is not shown, it is not available for your order, and we will not arrange instalments by email.
\n
Will I be charged again for an exchange?
\n
No. A size or colour exchange of the same item is not charged again. If you switch to a more expensive style, we tell you the difference first and only charge it once you agree.
\n
Why does checkout say no payment method is available?
\n
This can happen while a payment provider is being connected or if a provider is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later or write to us; we will tell you when payments are working again rather than ask you to pay another way.
\n
Will my card statement show Proud Vet Tee?
\n
The name on your statement is set by the payment provider and normally includes our store name or trade name, Proudvettee. If you do not recognise a charge, check your order confirmation emails for the date and amount, then write to us and we will confirm whether it came from us.
\n
Do you keep my card on file for next time?
\n
We do not store card numbers. If a provider offers to save your card for faster checkout, that card is saved by the provider under its own terms, and you can remove it there.
\n
If your question is not answered here, our FAQs cover more topics about orders, delivery and returns.
\n
13. Contact about payments
\n
For any payment question, email support@proudvettee.com with your order number, or submit a ticket. We reply within 1 business day.
