Proud Vet Tee is operated under the trade name Proudvettee, 5165 Spring Street, Flowery Branch, GA 30542, United States. Because many of our customers order personalized items that mention a family member’s name and years of service, this policy also explains how we treat that personalization text. Questions about privacy can be sent at any time to support@proudvettee.com.
\n
\n
Privacy in short
\n
\n
We collect what we need to print, ship and support your order, and little else.
\n
Personalization text (names, years, short lines) is used only to print your item and handle any issue with it.
\n
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for cross-site advertising.
\n
Payment card details are handled by payment providers, never stored on our servers.
\n
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us.
\n
\n
\n
1. Information we collect
\n
1.1 Information you give us
\n
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, billing address, shipping address and, if you provide it, a phone number for the carrier. We also collect the order details: designs, styles, sizes, colours, quantities and prices. If you create an account, we store your login email and a securely hashed password. If you write to support, we keep your message, any photos you attach (for example a picture of a misprint) and our replies.
\n
1.2 Personalization text
\n
Some designs let you add a name, years of service, a place or a short line. This text often refers to someone other than you, such as a father, grandmother or spouse. We use it only to print your item, check the print against your order, and resolve any problem with that order. We do not use it for marketing, we do not build profiles from it, and we do not share it with anyone other than the print partner who produces your item. Please do not enter sensitive information, such as service numbers, Social Security numbers, medical details or anything you would not want printed on a shirt.
\n
1.3 Information collected automatically
\n
When you browse the site, our servers and our content delivery network record technical information that every website receives: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time. This information is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and diagnose errors. Cookies used by the store are described in section 4.
\n
1.4 Information from other parties
\n
When a payment gateway is connected to the store, the payment provider tells us whether a payment succeeded and may share limited details such as the card type and last four digits. It never shares your full card number with us. Shipping carriers send us delivery status updates so that we can show tracking information and help with late parcels.
\n
2. How we use information
\n
\n
To fulfil your order: printing, packing, shipping, sending order confirmations and tracking emails, and handling returns, exchanges, cancellations and refunds.
\n
To support you: answering questions, reviewing photo claims and keeping a record of what was agreed.
\n
To keep the store safe: detecting fraud, blocking abusive traffic and protecting accounts.
\n
To meet legal obligations: keeping tax and accounting records and responding to lawful requests.
\n
To improve the store: understanding which pages cause confusion, based on support questions and error logs, so we can fix them.
\n
To send marketing emails: only if you have opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Order and shipping emails are not marketing and are sent regardless, because they are part of your purchase.
\n
\n
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (processing and supporting your order), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the store), consent (marketing emails and any non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
\n
3. Who we share information with
\n
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only what each one needs to do its job:
\n
\n
Print and fulfilment partners in the United States receive your shipping name and address, the items ordered and any personalization text, so they can produce and ship your order.
\n
Shipping carriers receive your name, delivery address and, where needed for delivery, your phone number.
\n
Payment providers process your payment when a gateway is connected; the providers in use are named on our Payment Methods page once they are active.
\n
Hosting, content delivery and email providers host the website, deliver pages securely and send our emails.
\n
\n
These providers may use the information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, our customers or the public, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale or merger, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The store does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising tracking tools; if that changes, this policy will be updated first and, where required, you will be asked for consent.
\n
4. Cookies
\n
The store uses a small number of essential cookies that make the cart, checkout and customer account work and that protect the site against abuse. Without them you could not add items to the cart or pay. We do not set advertising cookies. If analytics or marketing cookies are ever added, they will be off until you consent where the law requires consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.
\n
5. How long we keep information
\n
\n
Retention periods
\n
\n
\n
Information
\n
How long we keep it
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Order records (items, prices, addresses, payment status)
\n
As long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to 7 years
\n
\n
\n
Personalization text
\n
With the order record, so we can resolve reprints and claims; removed earlier on request once the 60-day claim window has passed
\n
\n
\n
Support messages and claim photos
\n
Up to 2 years after the conversation ends, unless needed for an open claim
\n
\n
\n
Customer account
\n
Until you ask us to close it
\n
\n
\n
Marketing preferences
\n
Until you unsubscribe, then only a suppression record so we do not email you again
\n
\n
\n
Server and security logs
\n
Short periods, normally a few weeks, unless needed to investigate abuse
\n
\n
\n
\n
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
\n
6. How we protect information
\n
The whole site is served over encrypted HTTPS. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and provide support. Passwords are stored as hashes, never in plain text, and payment card details are entered with the payment provider rather than stored by us. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires it.
\n
7. Your rights and choices
\n
Depending on where you live, including under the privacy laws of several US states, Canada’s PIPEDA, Australia’s Privacy Act and New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, you may have the right to:
\n
\n
know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
\n
correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
\n
ask us to delete information, subject to records we must keep by law;
\n
receive your information in a portable format;
\n
object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent you have given;
\n
opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising (we do neither);
\n
complain to your local privacy regulator.
\n
\n
To make a request, email support@proudvettee.com from the address linked to your order or account. We may ask for details to confirm your identity before acting, and we respond within the time required by the law that applies to you. We never treat anyone differently for exercising privacy rights.
\n
8. Information about family members
\n
When you order a gift, you give us the recipient’s name and address, and personalization text may mention someone else entirely. Please only share information you are entitled to share, and only what is needed for the gift. Recipients can contact us directly to ask what we hold about them; we will help them while keeping the buyer’s payment details private.
\n
8a. Emails we send and how to stop them
\n
Transactional emails, meaning the order confirmation, the shipping notice with tracking, replies to your support messages and notices about a delay or a problem with your order, are part of the service you bought and are sent to the email address you gave at checkout. Marketing emails, if we send them at all, go only to people who have opted in. You can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by writing to us, and the change takes effect promptly. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails about an order you have placed.
\n
9. Children
\n
Proud Vet Tee sells youth sizes, but the store is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
\n
10. International processing
\n
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are in Canada, Australia, New Zealand or elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States to fulfil your order. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
\n
11. Changes to this policy
\n
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
\n
12. Contact
\n
Email support@proudvettee.com with any privacy question or request, or write to Proudvettee, 5165 Spring Street, Flowery Branch, GA 30542, United States.
